A battle-tested system prompt template that enforces Chain-of-Thought reasoning by requiring the model to use a structured `<scratchpad>` block before producing its final answer. Available in variants for reasoning-heavy tasks (math, logic, code debugging), writing tasks, and agent planning. Reduces hallucination rates measurably on complex multi-hop questions.
The prompt injects a structured reasoning contract into the system message. In strict mode, the final answer block is only accepted if preceded by a valid scratchpad block. The scratchpad is stripped from the final output by a post-processing filter included in the package, so end users never see the model's raw reasoning chain unless explicitly configured.
